リボンメーカーの本社移転設計 

既存の倉庫・工場・オフィスのうち、工場兼オフィスの機能を創業者の地である京町家へ移転するというプロジェクトでした。限られたスペースに膨大な機械とオフィス機能を収めることは、非常に難易度の高い設計となりました。

1階は工場、2階はオフィスと打ち合わせスペースとし、打ち合わせスペースからは1階の工場の様子が見えるようにしています。

1階に設置する機械からは大量の水蒸気が発生するため、もともと京町家の火袋（台所）だった部分にその機能を沿わせたレイアウトとしました。

また、2階の既存天井は低かったため解体し、断熱と塗装を施すことで、光がまわる広々とした空間へと改修しました。

This headquarters relocation moved a ribbon manufacturer’s factory and office functions into a Kyoto machiya. The compact plan places the factory on the first floor and the office and meeting spaces above, with views into the workshop. By opening up the low existing ceiling and aligning steam-producing machinery with the building’s former kitchen zone, the design makes efficient use of the traditional structure.
